Auditioning
Auditioning over the past few years has changed due to the covid pandemic in 2020. To get cast in plays, movies and shows actors did audition pieces from home to submit to directors and producers. They would also go on video calls with the other cast member and the director to rehearse the performance.

With auditions you would perform a piece based on what type of performance your auditioning for. For a classic play you would perform something that is classical and for a modern play you would perform a piece from a modern play. A director would not look for an actors skills in performing classical plays for a modern play and vice versa. People would also send in voiced work if they were auditioning for a voice acting role as opposed to a theatre performance piece

For me with monologues I find it easier to learn Shakespeare pieces as I find the characters from his monologues really compelling and interesting so I chose a monologue from Macbeth as my classical piece. Another reason I chose was that it is a really common piece and felt that not many would chose it and make me stand out more.

The reason I chose the movie monologue is because I felt it suited my character range and the monologue with how it is a conversation with people fits the scenario we were given for the movie monologue.

I've done levels 2 through to HNC performing arts at Gloucester college. I've taken an interest with voice acting and really enjoy adding voices to characters even when acting on stage.

I have done many performances at the roses theatre with there youth group. Performances I have done with them include Macbeth, Billy liar, Why the whales came and many more. I enjoyed doing all of them as they were interesting pieces.
I have had training in different dance styles but I mainly focus on street dance.
My performance of a monologue from the play operation crucible by Kieran Knowles.
The play is about 4 men stuck in a hotel room that survived the blitz during the 1940's. I chose this because it was an interesting piece and it is a recent play so I felt it would stand out more
